If you know Andheri East, you know how hectic the roads get around here. We are right on Gokul Gota Road, basically looking out at the Chakala bus stop. It is a loud place to work because of the constant buses and the steel being moved around. We deal with profiles and different types of steel products every day. Our space isn't huge, so things get stacked up pretty high sometimes. The dust from the road is a constant thing we just deal with. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or guys coming in to pick up materials for their sites. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us here, making sure the orders are right and the trucks get loaded properly. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult, especially when we’re trying to keep the metal dry or move it onto the street. We’ve been here in this spot for a while now. People know us as the place across from the bus stop. It’s a practical kind of job. You get dirty, you lift heavy things, and you talk to a lot of delivery drivers. We keep a simple routine. Open the shutters, check what’s in stock, and get to work. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy. The neighborhood is always changing with new buildings going up, but the demand for steel never really stops. We just try to keep up with it.
