Samir Metal & Tubes

We are located in Khetwadi 6, which is a place that never really seems to sleep. There are shops everywhere and the air is always thick with the sound of work and metal hitting metal. We handle metals and tubes of all sorts. Our shop is quite packed with inventory, so you have to be careful where you step when you come inside. It’s been our home base for many years now. We don’t have a large staff, just a few of us who know the stock well. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific tube in the back because we have so much stuff piled up. We spend a lot of time organizing and then re-organizing when a new shipment arrives. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and moving metal around. We don't use any fancy machinery for the inventory, just our hands and a bit of patience. Most of our customers are people we’ve known for a decade or more. They just stop by and tell us what they need for their current project. We don’t really do any marketing or anything like that. The word of mouth in Khetwadi 6 is enough to keep us busy from morning until night. It’s a tough business sometimes with the prices changing all the time, but we just keep at it. It’s what we’ve always done and we don't see that changing anytime soon.
