Sameer Forging�

We are located down in Kurla East on New Hanuman Lane at number 57. It is a bit of a busy spot but we have been here for a long time now. Sameer Forging started out with just a couple of machines and a lot of sweat. The workshop is usually quite loud because of the hammers and the metal hitting metal all day long. If you come by in the afternoon you will probably see the guys sitting outside for a quick tea break before going back into the heat. We do not have fancy air conditioning or a big glass front like the new shops. It is just a practical place where we work with steel and iron until the job is done. The floor is usually covered in some dust and metal scraps but that is just how it is when you are forging things. We know most of the people on this lane and they know us by the sound of the shop. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road and we have to help them move so other cars can get through. It is a simple operation and we just try to keep things moving day by day. We have had some of the same guys working the machines for years and they know the equipment better than anyone. It is not always easy work especially when it gets really hot in the summer but we keep at it anyway. The neighbors don't mind the noise much since we've been part of the street for so long.
