Sameer Forging

Sameer Forging is located in Kurla West. We are part of the Kurla Scrap Merchant Associati area. You can find us near Sagar Bonanza, right across the road from Patil School. This part of Kurla is always very busy and loud. In our workshop, we do forging work. This involves heating up metal and using heavy machines to shape it. It is a very hot and noisy job, especially during the summer months when the heat is trapped inside. We make parts for various industrial uses and machines. It is a skill that takes years to get right. My father was into this work before me, and I just took over from him. Your hands and clothes stay dirty all day long from the grease and metal dust. We do not have an office with air conditioning. It is just the workshop floor with all the hammers and furnaces. Sometimes we have to wait for the raw material trucks because they get stuck in the narrow lanes of Kurla. We take on small orders and sometimes bigger ones for the factories nearby. We do not do any advertising or marketing. Most people find us because they have been coming here for years or they saw our sign near the school. It is a very basic, practical business and we just focus on getting the metal shaped correctly for our customers. We do not have time for fancy stuff, we just work.
