Sai Shakti Metal Works

You can find Sai Shakti Metal Works inside the industrial estate on Kurla Andheri Road. It’s exactly the kind of place you would expect for metal work. The whole area is full of the sounds of machines and the smell of oil and welding. Our unit isn't huge, but we have crammed in all the equipment we need to get the jobs done. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by midday, and we spend a lot of time sweeping up. It’s a noisy environment, so we have to talk pretty loud to hear each other over the equipment. We have a small corner walled off with some plywood that serves as the office, but even there, you can feel the vibrations from the machines. We’ve been in this industrial estate for quite a while now. The roads around here are always full of delivery vans and workers in blue overalls. It’s a hardworking part of town, and we fit right in. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you just walk right into the workspace. Most of our days are spent on our feet, measuring, cutting, and fixing things. It’s greasy, heavy work, but it is what we know how to do. We just take each job as it comes and try to keep the machines running smoothly without too many breakdowns. That is basically our whole day until it's time to go home.
