Sagar Oil & Tea Center

So, Sagar Oil & Tea Center is located over in Lower Parel, specifically at number 8. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for the barrels of oil and the sacks of tea leaves we keep in the back. Working in Lower Parel means everything is always moving fast, but inside here, things are a bit slower. We spend a lot of time measuring out orders for people who live in the nearby buildings. Tea is one of those things everyone needs, so we stay busy enough. The smell of the tea leaves is pretty strong when you first walk in, which I've gotten used to over the years, though visitors usually notice it right away. We also handle different types of cooking oils. It’s messy work sometimes, especially when we’re transferring it, but we try to keep the floor clean so nobody slips. I’ve been here since I was younger, and not much has changed about the way we do things. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just walk in or call us when they need a refill for their kitchen. It gets loud outside with the trains and the traffic, but that’s just Lower Parel for you. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a basic shop for basic needs, and we like it that way.
