Running a taxi business from an apartment in Andheri East is not always easy, but it works for us. Saba Taxi Services is based right here in Paras Ram Puria Apartment. We have been doing this for a few years now. Most of our drivers live nearby, so they know the shortcuts around Andheri better than any map. Traffic in this part of Mumbai is a headache, especially during peak hours, so we try to plan ahead as much as possible. Our office is just a small room where we keep the logs and take calls. Sometimes the phone rings at three in the morning, and that is just part of the job. We have a few cars parked downstairs or just around the corner in the lane. We don't have a big corporate fleet or anything like that. It is mostly just us and a few guys we trust to drive safely. People around the building know us as the taxi folks. We do airport drops and local trips when someone needs to get across town. The cars are clean, though they might have a bit of wear and tear because the roads here are rough and full of potholes. We just focus on getting people where they need to go without making a big fuss about it. It is a simple setup. If the traffic is bad, we tell you it's bad. No point lying about it. That is how we run things here in Andheri.
