You can find us at the Rangwala Building, down on the ground floor in Gaiwadi. It’s a bit of an old building, but it’s sturdy. We deal with steel, mostly just bits and pieces for construction or whatever someone needs for a small project. The shop is usually a bit noisy because of the cutting and the metal clanging around. We’ve got stacks of rods and sheets everywhere. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer. We started this because there was a need for a local supplier who didn’t mind small orders. A lot of the big yards won’t talk to you if you aren't buying tons of the stuff. Here, we just see what you need and try to find a piece that fits. We aren’t salesmen, we just know our inventory. The neighborhood has been the same for a long time, lots of small workshops like ours. We know most of the guys working nearby. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, but we’re used to it. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting into the lane, so we have to move things by hand. It’s not a shiny showroom. It's just a workspace with metal and tools. We do our best to get things measured right. People come in with their drawings on scraps of paper, and we try to make sense of it. That’s just how we operate day to day. We stay busy.
