S. M. Impex

We have been set up at the Court Chamber building in New Marine Lines for a while now. It is a really busy part of the city, and S. M. Impex handles the constant back-and-forth that comes with the import and export trade. Our office is in room number thirty-five on the fourth floor. It is nothing fancy, just a practical space where we get our work done. If you have spent any time in this area, you know how the traffic and the noise can be. We spend a lot of our mornings dealing with customs and shipping lines, making sure things move along. By the afternoon, we are usually buried in paperwork and checking on container status. The lift in this building can be a bit slow sometimes, so we often just take the stairs to save time. We deal with different kinds of goods, mostly just making sure the shipments actually get to where they need to go without getting stuck. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but the way we do things stays the same. We focus on the day-to-day tasks like billing and scheduling. There is no corporate fluff here. If someone has a problem with their papers, we sit down and try to fix it. It is just regular work, day in and day out, right here in the middle of Mumbai.
