You can find us at Shop No. 8 on Nanubhai Desai Road. This part of C.P. Tank is always crowded with trucks and people moving goods back and forth. It’s an old part of the city, so the lanes are narrow and you really have to watch where you’re walking. Our shop is tucked into the 46/50 building block. It’s not a big place, just enough room for the stock and a small desk where we sit. Most days are pretty loud because of all the activity on the street outside. We deal with a lot of regular faces who have been coming to this area for years. Sometimes it feels like time hasn't moved much around here, even though the rest of Mumbai is changing so fast. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the shop number. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been passing this way for decades. The monsoon is always a bit tricky because the water tends to pool up on these old roads, but we manage. It’s a busy life, start early and finish late, making sure everything is counted and sorted. We like the grit of the neighborhood; it feels real and honest. No one here cares about being polished, they just care about getting the job done right and moving on to the next task of the day.
