You can find us at Nisha House on Veerapillai Street in Andheri East. We’re right near the Sai Baba Mandir, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to navigate these streets. Most of our day is spent surrounded by cardboard boxes, packing tape, and bubble wrap. It’s a physical job and it gets pretty dusty in the office with all the packing materials moving in and out. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating trucks and making sure the crews know where they’re supposed to be. Andheri East is always crowded, so just getting the vehicles in and out can be a challenge some mornings. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we’ve seen every kind of household item you can imagine. Moving is stressful for everyone, so we try to just show up and do the heavy lifting without making a big deal of it. Our office isn't anything special—just a place to store supplies and keep the records straight. Sometimes the tape dispensers break or we run out of a certain size box, but we manage. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work, especially in the heat. We just focus on getting things from point A to point B safely. It is noisy and busy, but that is the life of a mover in this city. We just take it one load at a time.
