We have been here in Powai for a while now. Our spot is right near L&T Gate Number 7, just across from Shanti Complex. Most days start early with the trucks pulling in and the guys grabbing tape and boxes. It gets pretty busy around SVG Nagara, especially when the traffic picks up in the afternoon. Moving stuff is hard work and mostly involves a lot of lifting and making sure things fit into the trucks right. We usually have piles of bubble wrap and cardboard everywhere. People stop by the office on 4th A Cross to ask about moving their flats or just to see if we have spare boxes they can take. It is a small place, nothing fancy at all. We just focus on getting the packing done. Sometimes it rains and we have to scramble to cover everything up with plastic sheets. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we arrived, but we are still here doing the same thing every morning. We know the shortcuts around the complex and which roads are usually blocked by construction. It is just us and a few helpers mostly. If you walk past the gate, you will probably see us loading a van or sitting outside having tea during a short break. It is mostly just about keeping track of where everything is going and making sure the tape holds up. We don’t spend much time on the computer, mostly just on the phone or out at a site.
