Royal Iron & Steel Mart

Royal Iron & Steel Mart is over in the Giriraj Building, right near the Masjid Bunder Station. Specifically, we are at 422 Masjid, along the S G Highway. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets near the station. There is a constant stream of people and the noise is something you just have to get used to. Our space in the building is filled with iron and steel supplies. We don't have much room for anything else. The Giriraj Building is a solid old structure, and our unit is usually buzzing with activity. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and moving pieces around so we can find what a customer needs. It’s a lot of physical work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. The location is good because we are close to the highway, which helps with moving the heavier items, even if the traffic is a nightmare. We keep a small area for paperwork, but it’s mostly just a desk piled with invoices and a computer that has seen better days. It is not a place for sitting around. We are usually busy from the moment the shutters go up in the morning until we close at night. It’s just a straightforward business, no frills or anything like that. We are just here doing our job in a very busy part of town. That is the daily routine for us.
