Down in Kurla West, you'll find us at Dhanraj Mill Compound 1. It’s an old place, and Royal Batteries has been here for a while. The compound has seen better days, but it’s where we do our work. It’s mostly just shelves full of heavy batteries and the smell of lead and acid. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but it’s ours. We don’t have a website or fancy ads. Usually, people just hear about us from someone else in Kurla. The morning commute through the traffic near the station is always a struggle, but once we get to the mill, things settle down. We have a small crew. We mostly talk about the weather or local news while we work. The space is a bit cramped, especially when a big shipment comes in. We have to move things around just to find a place to sit. It’s a practical life. We handle the batteries, charge them, and send them out. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when the monsoon hits hard, so we keep the stock on high pallets. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Mumbai. We just want to get through the day and do right by the people who walk through the door. It's a simple shop in a busy part of town. We just stay busy and keep charging.
