Roxy Steel & Engineering

We have been here at Nanubhai Desai Road for a long while now. It's a basement spot, so it stays a bit cooler even when the machines are running hard. People around Girgaon know where to find us if they need something fixed or a specific steel part made up. We mostly deal with local engineering jobs and getting the right materials for builders or small workshops. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded with all the inventory, but we manage. My father started things out, and now we just keep the momentum going. Most days start early, around eight, and we don't finish until the shutters go down late. We see a lot of regulars who just drop by to talk shop or ask about a specific gauge of steel. If we don’t have it in the basement, we usually know where to source it quickly. It’s practical work. No one wears suits here. We’re usually covered in a bit of dust or grease by noon. It's just the way the business is. We try to keep the machines in good shape so there aren't many delays. Life in the basement is busy but it's what we know. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. Just a bunch of guys working with metal and making sure the orders are ready when they need to be.
