Roshan Metal

Roshan Metal is located in Lehri Mansion, which is an old building at 236/240 S.V.P. Road, right around the Khetwadi Back Road area. This part of the city is very crowded, and the streets are always humming with activity. We are on the ground floor, which makes it easier to move stock in and out, but it’s still a tight fit. Our shop is filled with various metal items and scraps. It’s not a showroom; it’s a working space where we handle sales and some basic cutting. The walls are lined with shelves that have been there for decades, probably. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. People drop by just to ask about prices or see what we have in stock. We don't have a website or a fancy catalog to show. You just have to come in and see what’s available. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the door where there’s light until it comes back on. We know most of the other shop owners on the street. It feels like a community. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. It’s a bit messy and the floor is always covered in small metal bits, but that’s just the way it is here. We just take it one day at a time. The old fan makes a clicking sound, but it keeps us cool enough. Sometimes we share lunch together.
