Rolex Tin & Metal Works

The shop is right here on Yacoob Street, just a short walk from the J.J. Hospital signal. If you’ve ever walked past, you’ve probably heard the sound of hammers hitting metal. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. Rolex Tin & Metal Works isn't a fancy place with a big glass front or anything like that. It’s just a workshop where we get our hands dirty every day. Mostly, we deal with tin sheets and various metal parts that people need for their houses or small businesses around the neighborhood. Some days are busier than others, especially when the traffic at the signal gets backed up and people stop in just to ask directions or see what all the noise is about. We keep a lot of scrap and finished pieces piled up, so it might look a bit messy to someone from outside, but we know where every single tool is. Usually, it's just a couple of us working through the heat. We don't really do much advertising because most people just know we're here. We make boxes, funnels, and whatever else someone brings a sketch for on a piece of cardboard. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. If you need something made of metal and you’re near the hospital, you’ll find us easily enough by the sound of the clanking. It’s simple and it’s just what we do every day. We plan to stay right here.
