Rolex Steel & Engineering Co is located down in Darukhana at Kumbharwada. Our shop is at number 80/9 on the ground floor of Kolsa Bunder. If you’ve ever walked through this area, you know it’s full of metal and hard work. We spend our days surrounded by steel beams and heavy parts. It’s a bit noisy around here with all the loading and unloading that goes on. We aren’t doing anything fancy like high-tech design. We just work with engineering parts and steel supplies. People come in looking for specific pieces, and we see if we have them in stock. Sometimes we have to hunt through the piles to find exactly what’s needed for a particular job. The ground floor gets quite hot in the summer, but that’s just part of being in Darukhana. We’ve been at this spot for a long while. There’s a lot of history in these old warehouses. We don't have a big team or a receptionist. It’s mostly just us getting our hands dirty and making sure the orders are right. We talk to the truck drivers and the local mechanics every day. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement. You won't find any glossy brochures or fancy signs here. We just have our ledgers and the stacks of metal. People know us by name around the Bunder. We try to keep things simple and just do the job that needs doing. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know best. Steel is a tough business, but we like it here.
