Rolex Bearing Centre

Rolex Bearing Centre is tucked away at 80/A Grant Road. We’re in the Pipaardi Sheri area, specifically in Kudrat Manzil. It’s a very old part of town, near the Round Temple. If you’ve ever walked around the temple, you know the streets are narrow and always full of people and carts. Our shop is packed floor to ceiling with bearings of all sizes. There is a distinct smell of machine oil and metal that never really goes away. We’ve got old wooden counters that have been worn smooth by years of use. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. Kudrat Manzil has that old-world feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings. We spend a lot of time digging through boxes to find the right part for someone. The Grant Road area is always humming with activity, especially with the temple nearby. We hear the bells ringing and the vendors shouting all day long. It's a busy life, but we're used to it. We don't have any fancy displays. The bearings are just in their boxes, stacked neatly or sometimes not so neatly. We keep a diary of what goes out and what comes in. It’s a traditional way of doing business, and it works for us. We just stay focused on the bearings and the customers who come through the door. It's simple work but it keeps us on our toes all day.
