Riya Bags

We have been here at 34 Adajan Road Sutar Chawl for a good while now. It is just a small spot called Riya Bags where we keep things simple for everyone. People usually find us when they are walking through the chawl looking for something to carry their daily stuff in. We do not have any fancy lights or a big glass front, just the bags we have put together on the shelves. My cousin helps out when it gets busy in the afternoons. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy but customers still drop by anyway. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. It is mostly school bags and some travel ones stacked up against the walls. We try to keep the zippers working well because that is what everyone asks about first. A bag should not fall apart after a week of use. That is what we think about when we pick what to stock here. If you are coming from the main road, just look for the old blue door. It is a bit cramped inside with all the stock, but we know where everything is kept. We do not do much advertising, word of mouth works better for us here in Sutar Chawl. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if someone is coming after their work shift. It is just how we do things at Riya Bags. Nothing too special, just a local shop trying to provide what people need for their commute.
