Rita Bhat

You can find us at Fort Salapose Road 101. It’s an old building, the kind you see a lot of in this part of town. Rita Bhat is the name on the door, and we’ve been here longer than I can remember. The stairs are a bit steep, so you have to watch your step when you come up to see us. It’s crowded in the office with all the files we’ve kept over the years. We probably should clear some out, but you never know when you might need an old record. The fans keep things moving during the hot afternoons. We mostly just deal with the regular clients who have been coming to us for years. It’s not a fast-paced environment. We take our time to make sure things are done properly. Sometimes the street noise from Salapose Road gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a week or two. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It helps pass the time when things are slow. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We like the history of the Fort area. It feels like we are part of the city’s bones. We open early and usually head home once the sun goes down. Just a normal local office doing its thing every day. The wooden windows rattle a little whenever a big truck goes by.
