Julies Collections

We are located at Mulund West 45, which is a decent enough spot for a shop like ours. Julies Collections is basically just a room filled with as many clothes as we can fit on the racks. We spend a lot of our time folding things and putting them back after people have looked through them. It’s a small space, so it gets a bit tight when we have more than three or four people inside at the same time. The street outside can be quite loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is out walking, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of the hangers clicking together. We don’t have a big staff, so you’ll usually see the same faces every time you walk in. Most days we are just busy checking the new stock that comes in or trying to make the window display look halfway decent. It’s not a fancy boutique with bright lights and mirrors everywhere; it’s just a local shop where we try to keep things simple. We have a small stool in the corner where we sit and have tea when it’s quiet. The floor is just plain tile and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the neighbors and their families. It’s a simple way to make a living, just keeping the shop open and talking to whoever comes through the door every day.
