Riddhi Siddhi Nritya Kendra

We run Riddhi Siddhi Nritya Kendra out of A/201 in the JNPT area. It’s essentially a dance center where we teach traditional steps and movements. Being near the port means there’s a lot of heavy trucks and traffic noise outside, but once you step inside our room, it’s all about the rhythm and the music. We started this because we love dance and wanted to share it with the kids around here who don't have many other options for learning art. The floor is where everything happens. We don’t have much—just some mirrors on the wall and a sound system that occasionally acts up. The apartment isn't huge, but we make it work for our classes. Every evening, the place fills up with the sound of bells and classical music. It gets a bit crowded when the parents come to pick up their children after the lessons are done. We’ve had to move some of our own furniture around to make enough space for the practice sessions. It’s not a big academy with a stage; it’s just a home-based studio. We teach the basics and try to keep the culture alive in this industrial part of town. Sometimes the humidity makes the floor a bit slippery, so we have to be careful during the faster steps. It’s a simple life, teaching dance and watching the kids grow up over the months. We don't do ads.
