We are located up on the first floor of Ram Sadan. It’s right in the middle of Kumbharwada, which is a really crowded part of the city for anyone who hasn't visited before. You have to climb some narrow, steep stairs to get to us at 110/112. Downstairs on the street, it’s always loud with trucks and people moving heavy stuff around. We handle steel, mostly. It’s a heavy and dirty business. The office is small and usually has stacks of papers and samples of metal tubes or sheets everywhere you look. We’ve been in this building for years and the layout is a bit odd. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with orders to worry about that. Most of our day is spent on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on where the delivery trucks have gotten to. It’s not a glamorous job by any means. You get some soot on your clothes just walking through the neighborhood from the train station. We know the other shop owners around here pretty well, and we often grab lunch from the same roadside stalls every day. When someone needs a particular grade of steel, they usually know where to find our door. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team to tell our story. It’s just us in this old room making sure the steel gets delivered. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back window.
