Remington Steel Arts

We've been at the Old Naka in Girgaon Warje for quite a while now. Most people around here know Remington Steel Arts just as the place where the metal gets cut and welded. It's usually noisy and a bit dusty in the shop, but that’s just how steel work goes. I started this because I knew my way around a welding machine and it seemed better than working for someone else far away. We do all sorts of things with steel, mostly just whatever the people walking in need for their houses or shops. Sometimes it’s a gate, sometimes just some repairs. The traffic outside the Naka can be a real headache in the evenings, but it brings people by. We don't have a big fancy office or a receptionist to take calls. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back with the tools. The floor is rarely clean because we are always busy moving heavy sheets and pipes around. It isn't a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and keeps the hands busy. We keep our hours pretty regular, though some days we stay late if a job is halfway done and we can't just leave it. There’s no big secret to what we do. We just take the metal, measure it out, and try to get it right. It’s hard work, but we are used to it by now. Being here in Girgaon feels right for us.
