Working in Mumbai is always a bit of a scramble. We are based in the Ujwala Building, which is on Carter Road Number 2 in Borivali East. It is a very crowded area, especially during the morning and evening commute. You can hear the trains from the station if the wind is blowing the right way. Our office is on the sixth floor. It’s a small space, but we have everything we need to keep things running. We deal with securities and stocks, so the phones are always ringing. Most of us take the local train to get here, so we know the struggle of the daily commute. The office doesn't have any expensive furniture or anything. It’s just desks, chairs, and a lot of computers. We try to keep the coffee machine running because that’s what keeps us going through the busy hours. People come in with their documents, and we try to sort them out as fast as we can. It’s a high-pressure environment sometimes, but we’ve got a good group of people here who help each other out. We don't have much time for small talk, but we do our best for anyone who walks through the door. It’s just the typical Mumbai work life. We are just one of many offices in Borivali trying to do a good job day in and day out.
