We have been operating out of Plot No. 17 on State Transport Road for quite a few years now. Being right next to the Khira Industrial Estate in Santacruz West means it is always a bit noisy and busy around here. That is just the way we like it though. Reliance Logistics Pvt. Ltd. isn't a clean or quiet business. It involves a lot of back and forth with drivers and people who are just trying to get their goods from one place to another. My small team and I spend most of our day on the phone or tucked away behind our desks dealing with a mountain of paperwork. It is nothing fancy. We don't have those sleek glass walls or modern art you see in movies. It is just a regular office with maps pinned to the walls and a lot of folders. Sometimes the heat in Mumbai gets to us, but we just turn the fans up and keep going. We don't really have a big corporate speech to give anyone. We just focus on the task at hand. If a truck is stuck or a delivery is late, we handle it as best we can. It is about being honest with people and not making promises we can't keep. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over time, but we are still here doing the same basic work. It is practical and sometimes frustrating, but it is our livelihood and we take it seriously in our own way.
