Reliable Hardware

Reliable Hardware is based at 270, Pardawala Mansion on Maulana Azad Road. We’re quite close to the Two Tank area, which is a landmark most people around here know very well. The building itself, Pardawala Mansion, has been around for ages and has a lot of character. Our shop is full of all the usual hardware stuff you’d expect—lots of nuts, bolts, tools, and things like that. It’s a bit cramped because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the space we have. There’s always a bit of a smell of oil and metal in the air, which is how a hardware store should be, I think. We don’t have any fancy displays or modern lighting. Everything is just in bins or on wooden shelves where we can reach it easily. We’ve been serving this neighborhood for quite a while now. Most of our customers are regulars who live nearby or contractors working on local jobs in the city. We don’t bother with big marketing campaigns or anything corporate. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first person to come in needing a specific screw or a hammer. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to people, which is fine by us. We know our stock very well, even if the place looks a bit messy to an outsider. It's just how we work and it suits us.
