Channel Industries Pvt. Ltd. is based in the Samitha Complex at Sakinaka. Our unit is number 20 on the first floor of Building 16A. If you know the area, you know how the traffic is near the telephone exchange. It can take forever just to get down the road. Inside the unit, we have our machines and a few workstations set up. It is not a very large space, so things can get a bit cramped when we have a big order to process. The noise is something you just get used to after a few days. We do industrial work, mostly making parts and components that other companies need for their projects. There is no corporate polish here. We wear regular clothes and get our hands dirty when a machine needs fixing. The lighting is a bit dim in the corners, but we have lamps where the real work happens. Most of our staff have been here for years, so we all know the routine. We usually take a break together in the afternoon for some tea and snacks. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, which makes moving heavy boxes a bit of a chore. We just take it slow and get it done. It is a practical way to run a business in a place like Mumbai. We don't spend money on decorations because the work is what matters to us and our customers.
