Ravindra Sathe Playback Singer

This is the home and workspace of Ravindra Sathe, a playback singer located in Andheri West. Specifically, we are at Flat No 6 in the Prem Vasundhara Society. Being in Andheri, things are always moving fast. This society has been a bit of a sanctuary for us. It’s where the music happens. It’s not a giant recording studio with glass walls and silver buttons everywhere. It’s a home environment where the focus is on the voice and the song. We spend a lot of time practicing here. Sometimes the neighbors hear us, but they don't seem to mind much. We have lived in this flat for quite a while, and it has seen a lot of different projects over the years. It’s a very practical space. There are stacks of sheet music in the corner and a few instruments scattered around the living area. We don't have a staff of twenty people. It's usually just me and a few collaborators coming in and out. We drink a lot of tea while we work through different melodies. It’s a quiet life in a loud city. We don't do much in the way of advertising. The work usually speaks for itself, and people know where to find us in Prem Vasundhara Soc. It's a humble way to pursue music, focusing on the craft rather than the fame. We just keep practicing and performing as long as we are able, making sure every note sounds right.
