We are located right in the heart of the metal market area, specifically at Shop 182/A on 6th Lane, T P Street. If you can find Alankar Cinema, you’re basically there, as we are just opposite it in Mahesh Nagar. Charni Road is always a whirlwind of activity. There’s the smell of grease and the sound of metal clanging against metal all day long. At Ratnaveer Metal, we don’t have a showroom with bright lights or glass displays. It’s a working shop, plain and simple. There are pieces of metal, tools, and packing materials everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know where everything is kept. My family started this, and we’ve just kept it going. We wear work clothes because things get dirty here very quickly. There's no point in wearing a suit when you're moving heavy stuff around all afternoon. We deal with people from all over who need specific things for their small projects. We don’t spend money on big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth is usually how people find us in these lanes. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but we just use that time to have some tea and rest our backs. It’s a hard life sometimes, with the heat and the heavy lifting, but it’s a good one. We’re proud of the fact that we’ve stayed in this same spot for so many years.
