If you are looking for Ratnashree Steel, you will find us at Shop No.1 in Laheri Mansion. We are right opposite Alankar Cinema in the Girgaon area, which is always packed with people and traffic. It is an old building, the kind that has a lot of character and narrow hallways, but we are right on the ground floor so it is easy to move heavy steel around. Dealing with steel in such a crowded neighborhood has its challenges, especially when the delivery trucks try to find a spot to park on the street. Inside the shop, it is mostly stacks of metal and the sound of the measuring tape snapping back. We have been here serving the local builders and contractors for quite some time. The area around Girgaon is always changing, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We don’t have a fancy showroom or air conditioning. It is just a practical space where we talk to customers, write out receipts by hand, and make sure the orders are correct. Sometimes the cinema crowd gets loud, but we are used to the noise by now. Our team is small, mostly family and a couple of helpers who have been around long enough to be family. We take things one day at a time, making sure we have what people need in stock. It is a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes and we like being part of the local community.
