Rakesh Steel Industries is tucked away in 2 / 5 New Premji Patel Chawl. We’re in Shallesh Nagar, specifically the Shahpur Pada area near Orlen Tank Road in Malad West. It’s a bit of a maze back here, to be honest. If you aren’t from around Malad, you might get turned around looking for us. We’re a small steel business operating out of this chawl. It’s tight quarters, but we make it work. There’s always the sound of metal being moved or cut. We’ve been here for years, and the neighborhood has grown up all around us. It’s not a fancy industrial park; it’s just where we live and work. We handle various steel items and small-scale fabrication when needed. Sometimes the rain makes the roads back here a bit muddy, but we keep the shop running regardless. We don’t have a big sales team. Most of our customers are locals or people who have been buying from us for a decade. It’s a very simple operation. We don’t use computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done on paper or just by memory. It’s an honest way to make a living. If you find the Orlen Tank, you’re pretty close. We’re just regular people doing regular steel work in our little corner of Malad West. We have been part of this community for a long time.
