Rajesh Steel Trading Corporation

Our shop is located in Yamunabai Compound, right in Goregaon East. We are at Shop Number 6 on H M Road. If you know the area, we’re pretty close to the railway crossing. You can often hear the trains passing by from our doorway throughout the day. Dealing in steel is what we do every day. It’s heavy work and the shop is usually filled with different types of metal rods and sheets that we move around. We’ve been in this compound for a long time. It’s a bit of a dusty environment with all the trucks and loading going on. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to browse. It’s just a place where we stock the steel and sell it to whoever needs it for their project. Most of our customers are local builders or small workshops nearby in Goregaon. We spend our time checking inventory and talking to suppliers on the phone. The heat in the summer makes the metal quite hot to touch, but we’re used to it by now. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to stay on top of the prices as they change. It’s a simple trading business. We don't go in for big marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here in the compound. The railway crossing can make the traffic a bit tricky sometimes, but it’s a good landmark for finding us. It’s a hardworking life, and we like being part of the market.
