About Rajasthan Aluminium – Building & Construction Material in Mumbai
Our shop is on Gokhale Road in Dadar, right by the Central Railway side. If you’ve been to Dadar, you know how much people walk around there. We work with aluminium sections and frames mostly. The sound of the cutting saw is something you hear all day long. It’s a sharp, loud noise that echoes in the shop. We have long pieces of metal leaning against the walls and scraps in bins under the tables. The floor is usually covered in those little silver metal shavings that get stuck in your shoes. We don't have a fancy layout. It’s just a place to work. We take measurements, cut the pieces, and screw them together for windows or partitions. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others doing the work. We get a lot of people walking in from the street asking if we can fix a sliding window or a handle. The heat from the soldering and the metal can make it a bit stuffy, especially in the afternoons. We usually keep the front open to get some air. Dadar is always moving, and we are just one part of the busy street. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just cutting metal to the right size and making sure the pieces fit together. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we’ve been doing it at this spot for years.
