Raj Steel Co is based out of Patil Villa on the GIDC Road in Mulund East. We are located right within the Chandraganga Hospital compound, which sounds a bit strange for a steel company, but that’s where we ended up. It’s near the flyover, so you can always hear the traffic hum in the background while we work. The space we have is quite functional. We’ve got our records and desks on one side and some space for the heavier stuff on the other. Mulund has grown so much since we first started here, but this little corner near the hospital stays pretty much the same. Most people know the flyover, so finding us isn’t too hard if you’re looking for Patil Villa. It’s a family-run kind of place. Sometimes my cousin is here helping out with the billing, and other times I’m just here by myself checking the stock. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’ve been too busy to get around to it. We deal with various types of steel and try to keep things moving as fast as the orders come in. It’s not a polished corporate office; it’s a workplace where things get done. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. It’s just a normal part of the day here in Mulund East.
