Radium Steel

Radium Steel is tucked away at 6 Parsiwada Lane inside the Hira Building. It’s one of those spots that’s a bit hard to find if you aren't looking for it. The building is old, and the lane is narrow, which makes moving large quantities of steel a bit of a challenge. We deal with all sorts of metal products, so the air in here always has that distinct metallic scent. Most of our work involves weighing things and making sure the dimensions are what the customer asked for. We don't have any air conditioning in the main storage area, so it gets pretty hot during the summer months. We just keep a few fans going and try to stay hydrated. There’s no big philosophy behind what we do. We just buy and sell steel and try to keep our records straight. The Hira Building has a lot of history, and you can see it in the walls and the old doors. We like being part of this old neighborhood, even if it’s a bit cramped. Sometimes the traffic in the lane gets blocked by a truck, and everything comes to a standstill for a while. We just take that as a chance to have a quick break or a cup of tea. It’s a simple business, and we prefer it that way instead of dealing with all the modern corporate fuss.
