R Ratilal & Co

You'll find R Ratilal & Co right in the heart of Zaveri Bazar, on the 1st Main road at the 6th Cross. This area is always packed with people and the noise of the market. We’ve been operating out of this small space for a very long time. It’s a traditional setup. We deal with trade and commerce like everyone else in this neighborhood. Our shelves are stacked high, and there isn't much room to move around, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big marketing department. We rely on the relationships we've built over decades. People come in because their fathers came to us. It’s a simple way of doing business, based on a handshake and a conversation. The shop is old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. We drink a lot of tea while we talk to customers. There’s no rush here, even though it’s busy outside. We deal with the daily ups and downs of the market. Sometimes it's slow, sometimes we can't keep up with the demand. We don't have any big mission statements. We just open the shutters every morning and see what the day brings. It’s the way things have always been done in the bazaar, and we don't see any reason to change it now.
