Purafine Food And Wine Company is located down at 14/16, Surat Street in Dana Bunder. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how narrow the streets are. It’s a total maze of trucks and laborers carrying sacks of goods. Our place is tucked right into the thick of it. We deal with food and wine, so there’s always crates moving in and out. The building is quite old, like most things around Dana Bunder, and it has a lot of character. We don't have a showroom or anything fancy. It’s mostly storage and a small area where we handle the books. The air always smells like spices and old wood from the warehouses nearby. It’s a rough and ready kind of place. We spend a lot of time checking inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit of a mess, but work doesn't stop for that. We know the other guys on the street pretty well by now. We usually have our lunch together or just stand around talking for a bit when it’s slow. It’s a hardworking area and we fit right in. We aren't looking to change much about how we do things. We just want to keep the supplies moving and make sure our orders are ready for the morning. There is always a lot of shouting and noise outside, but it feels like home to us now.
