Priya Overseas

Our business, Priya Overseas, is based in Bhat Bazar. We are in New Anant Bhuvan, at A 102/103, which is on Narshi Natha Street. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets with all the traders and the lorries. The building is older and has that specific smell of old wood and paper. It’s a real hub for trade around here. We handle overseas shipments, which involves a lot of back and forth with agents and port authorities. Our office is often crowded with files and samples of the goods we deal with. There is always someone coming in or out, usually with some paperwork that needs a stamp. We drink quite a bit of tea to keep going through the long afternoons. The street outside is never really quiet, but that energy helps keep us moving. We don't have any fancy carpet or modern furniture. It’s all very functional. We focus on the actual movement of goods across borders. It involves a lot of waiting for confirmations and checking on containers. We’ve been in Bhat Bazar for a while and we understand the pace of the market. It’s hard work and it can be stressful when things get delayed at the docks, but we just deal with it one day at a time. The paperwork is never ending, but that is the nature of overseas trade. We just keep at it until the day is done.
