Prism Plast

Prism Plast is based in Kandivali West, specifically at Gala No 8 in the Nilesh Industrial Estate on 3rd Cross. If you walk into the estate, you’ll hear the machines running from all the different units. Our gala is no different. We have our plastic molding machines and stacks of raw materials piled up against the walls. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of stock, and you have to be careful where you step. The air always has that faint smell of heated plastic, which you get used to after a few days. We’ve been here for several years, and the neighborhood has seen a lot of small businesses come and go. We stay busy with the production schedules and trying to keep the machines in good shape. They are old but they still work well if you know how to handle them. The lighting isn’t the best, but we know our way around the shop floor even in the dark. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone wants to talk to us, they just come straight to the gala door. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work. It’s a lot of physical labor and keeping an eye on the details. We just take it one day at a time and try to finish our quotas before the power cuts or the day ends. That's life here.
