Prayas Steel & Alloys

Our place is right in the heart of the 5th Kumbharwada Main Market in Mani Mazra. If you are looking for us, we are on the first floor of the Ratna Sadan Building, rooms 105 and 106. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs but it is where we do all our business with steel and alloys. Being in the market means there is always a lot of noise and trucks moving metal around outside. It is a tough environment, dusty and loud, but it is where we feel at home. We have got stacks of samples and ledger books all over the place. Sometimes the lighting isn't the best in the back rooms, but we know where everything is kept. Dealing with steel isn't a clean job, so our hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. We talk to contractors and workshop owners all day. Most of the guys we work with have been coming here for years. We do not have a big reception area or coffee machines. If someone wants water, they just grab a glass from the cooler in the corner. We focus on getting the right metal to the right person without making a big fuss about it. The building itself is old, but it stays cool enough during the summer months. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, and we like being part of the Kumbharwada trade circle.
