Pranay Rent A Car is over at 6 Santacruz East, on the 2nd Cross in the 7th Block. We’re quite close to the P & T Colony, which makes it a convenient spot for people living nearby who need a vehicle for a day or two. The morning starts with checking the cars, making sure the interiors are clean and there’s enough fuel for the next person. Santacruz can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, especially during the rush hours, so we spend a lot of time giving people directions on the best ways to get out of the city. We have a small variety of cars parked nearby. It’s not a massive fleet like the big companies have, but we keep them in good shape. My desk is usually covered in keys and logbooks. We get a lot of families from the colony who need a car for a wedding or just a weekend trip. It’s nice to see the same faces coming back. Sometimes the cars come back a bit late because of the road conditions, but we try to be understanding about it. That’s just part of the business. We don’t really do big ads; usually, someone just sees our sign or hears about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple setup, just me and a couple of guys helping out with the maintenance and the paperwork. We just keep things moving and hope the roads are clear for our customers.
