Our office is tucked away in Kanbaiwadi, on Khadilkar Road near the C P Tank Circle. Being in the Charni Road area means we are right in the heart of old Mumbai. The lanes are narrow and the buildings are packed close together, but there is a lot of energy here. We’ve been at this address, 33 A, for a long time. It’s a bit of a climb or a walk depending on where you park, which is always a struggle in this part of town. Inside, the space is filled with stacks of documents and old wooden desks. We don’t have much room for fancy decorations. Every inch of the office is used for something practical. Most of our day is spent dealing with the busywork that comes with being an associate firm in a city like this. You hear the sounds of the street constantly—the horns, the shouting, and the general bustle. It becomes like background music after a few years. We know the other businesses on the street well. If you’re looking for us, you just have to find the circle and then head down Khadilkar Road. It’s not the most modern setup, but it’s where we do our work. We just show up every morning and get through the pile of tasks on the desk. Sometimes it feels like we are fighting against the chaos of the city, but we always manage to stay on top of the files. It’s a typical Mumbai workplace where every day brings something a little different.
