Prakash Steelage Ltd has a presence at 701, Dr Bhulabhai Desai Road. This is a very different vibe from our other locations, being situated in such a well-known part of Mumbai. Being on the seventh floor gives us a bit of a break from the street-level noise, though you can still hear the traffic and the horns if the windows are open. It’s a professional space but it’s definitely not one of those cold, modern offices. We’ve got desks piled with files and the usual clatter of keyboards. From up here, you get a glimpse of the city’s energy. We handle a lot of the higher-level planning and administration for the steel business from this address. It’s more about meetings and phone calls than moving physical metal, which happens at the yards. The breeze coming off the sea nearby is one of the perks of being on this road. We’ve been operating from here for quite some time, and it has become our main base for managing the company's various interests. It’s a functional office where the staff knows their jobs inside and out. We don’t spend much time on decor or looking fancy; we’re too busy keeping track of the steel markets and making sure the logistics for our other sites are running smoothly. It’s just a hard-working office in a classic Mumbai building, where we put in the hours every day.
