Prakash Steel Traders

Prakash Steel Traders is located at Shop No. 532 on Phalke Road. We are right in the middle of Lokhand Bazar, which is the local iron market. It’s a very old and crowded part of the city. The street is always packed with laborers, carts, and trucks trying to move heavy loads of metal. Our shop is narrow and we have steel stacked almost all the way to the ceiling. It can be a bit dark inside because the inventory blocks most of the light. We’ve been trading here for decades and we know almost everyone on the street. It’s a loud place with people constantly shouting prices and negotiating. We don't have any comforts like air conditioning or a fancy lounge. We have a small desk tucked into a corner where we handle the accounts and the paperwork. Most of our day is spent talking to customers and making sure the right materials are being moved. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don’t use any marketing tricks; we just rely on being here every day and having the stock people need. The market has its own rhythm and we’ve become a part of it over the years. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest life in the Lokhand Bazar. We just keep our shop open and handle the trade as it comes, just like we’ve always done.
