We are located down at Nawalkar Wadi, right by Station Road here in Mumbai. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets, especially when the trains are running full. Prakash Stainless Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this spot for a good while now. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls, just a practical place where we get the work done. Every morning starts the same way—unlocking the heavy shutters, checking what came in on the late trucks, and getting the stainless steel sorted out. The noise from the station is something you just get used to after a week. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, but that’s just life in this part of Maharashtra. We spend a lot of time moving pipes and sheets around, making sure things go where they need to. Our neighbors are mostly other small businesses and a couple of tea stalls that do a brisk trade in the afternoons. It’s a tight space, and when the monsoon hits, we have to be quick with the tarps. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the steel, and the daily grind of Mumbai life. If you’re walking from the station, you can usually hear the sound of metal clanging before you even see our sign. It’s hard work, and the sun beats down on the roof pretty good, but we’ve got our routine down now.
