Pragati Spring Works

Our little workshop is at 43 Nagpada, which is right on B V K Iyengar Road. If you are looking for us, we are in the Baghdadi Estate, right across from Mobay Enter. It is an old part of the city and there is always some kind of noise, mostly from the machines or the street traffic outside. We do all kinds of spring works here. This means our days are filled with the smell of metal and a bit of grease on our hands. It is not a clean or quiet job, but it is what we do. The estate is a busy place with a lot of history. We usually start our shifts quite early in the morning. By the time the sun is high, the shop gets pretty warm from the heat of the equipment. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door with a smile. People usually just walk straight into the work area and show us the parts they need made or fixed. It is a very basic setup, and that is how we like it. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend a few hours just getting it to run again. That is just part of life here on B V K Iyengar Road. We focus on the work itself and making sure the springs are right. It is honest, hard work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
