Poonam Steel Corporation

Poonam Steel Corporation is located over at Plot No. 102 in Dhan Laxmi Apartment. Being in the Mhada Layout in Andheri West means we are right in the middle of everything. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes because we are so close to the Telephone Exchange and all that traffic. We’ve got the office set up in the building, and it’s usually piled high with papers and samples. Most days involve a lot of running around, checking on deliveries, and making sure the loaders don't block the residential entrance. Neighbors sometimes complain about the noise, but we try to keep things quiet as much as possible. Andheri West is always moving, so we have to move fast too. We don't have a big corporate lobby, just a couple of benches for people to sit while we look up their requirements. It gets quite humid in this part of Mumbai, especially during the rains when the water collects on the road outside. We deal with all sorts of people, from local contractors to folks just fixing up their homes. It’s a small operation but we stay quite busy with the phone ringing every few minutes. We try to be helpful without making a big fuss about it. It’s just us doing our bit in a very crowded neighborhood where everyone is trying to get ahead and finish their projects. The space is small but we make it work somehow by stacking things very carefully.
