Polychem Refractories Works

The workshop is located over in Vikhroli West, specifically at 203 in the Veena Industril Estate on Lbs. We are right on Street Number 13 in Dasmesh Nagar. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of noise and movement around us. We handle refractory work here, which mostly means dealing with heat and materials that can take a lot of pressure. It’s dusty and hot most days, but that is just the nature of the business. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. The guys are usually busy with the machinery or checking the batches we’ve got going. It’s not a clean office job; there’s grease and grit everywhere. We keep our tools organized as best as we can, though things tend to get messy by noon. Our neighbors in the estate are doing similar heavy work, so we all know each other. The trucks come in and out of the lane all day long, making it a bit tight for space. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The focus is just on getting the orders out and making sure the quality is what it should be. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend the morning fixing a motor or a belt. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Most of us have been working in this field for years, so we just get on with it without much talking. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in.
